Pay Back

We all set goals in the back of our mind,
The one's unachieved, sometimes feel like a crime,
But what is life's goal but to live and to learn?
If you learned anything, You didn't get burned.
That feeling deep down is just a perception,
Building from thinking you've had some rejection.
Yin and Yang, plus and minus, nega' and positive,
You got to have both to balance the way you live.
So remember those blues will pass don't give up,
It's just human nature to want a full cup,
But if life's cup was just full all the time,
How in the world could we feel to write rhymes?
It's that hunger that drives cause that cup's never full,
So remember depression is used like a tool,
You're balancing good things for others this day,
But tomorrow who knows what may come your way?
Sad feelings do pass,
Someone else could be filling your glass.
And your words will help others when their turn comes to pay.
