Nature's Fabric

When I woke up this morning,
it was a beautiful night,
there was lightning flashing all around,
rain showers cleansing the sky.
With each bolt that flashed,
across the heavens,
I saw a snapshot of life.
No matter what we do to the earth,
Nature will wash it all clean.
Even when we pave it all over,
you will see glimpses of green.
Sprouting here and there,
in the crack of a sidewalk,
seeds floating in air.
If we don't watch what we do,
Nature will wash me and you,
The beautiful earth is a tapestry,
Everything woven together.
Man tears down the fabric,
wants to control the weather,
Nature restores it in her own time,
If we don't learn the balance,
Nature will wash all of mankind,
When I woke up this morning,
It was a beautiful night,
The earth took it's shower,
and washed itself clean,
The dawn broke the silence,
with first rays of light,....
Thank you Nature for the gift I have seen.
