Love All The Way

I'm giving you a piece of my heart,
I trust you'll know what to do.
If you tuck it safe inside yourself,
our friendship will always be true.
I give myself to all my friends,
But none have kept me secure.
I'm hoping you'll be different,
and you'll see I am for sure.
Love is what you make of it,
I try to make love free.
That's why it's so important,
That I know that you love me.
Maybe not tomorrow,
a week, a month, or a year.
But sometime someday, in life's big play,
You know what I must hear.
I hope you understand,
I love my friends all the way.
I tell them all I love them,
but they don't understand what I say.
But you seem to be different,
and I wanted to thank you, so.
I wrote this little poem,
Just to let you know.
