Just My Dogs

How quickly we forget,
the one who gave you wings,
so you could fly and do your things.
How quickly he's nothing again,
treated more like a thing than a friend.
Ignored and turned away,
never asked you to pay.
But then you never asked for things,
kept those nothing owed, bling blings.
You don't have to cherish things given,
or say thanks while you're living.
Given with no expect, living with the reject.
use him up, press eject.
Fuck you left in return,
Skewered and tossed on the fire.
Ignored,... he quickly burns.
Good deeds always seem to end this way.
Once used, no one wants to play.
Just remember, as quickly as it came,
it will be taken away, what a shame.
Thats the way it always seems,
To me friendship only a dream.
I wake up to reality.
Alone with just my dogs to keep me company.
